What to Expect

No experience is required to enjoy what we have to offer in Cuyabeno. After arriving, you are paired with travelers with similar interests in exploring what the Amazon rainforest has to offer. You will be assigned one of our trained naturalist guides, who are bilingual in English and Español. Your guide will assign you your cabin based on your reservation, and they will keep your adventure on schedule through various activities depending on the length of your stay.

Additionally, your guide will serve as a source of information about all things related to the Green Forest Ecolodge and the flora and fauna of the Amazon Jungle of Cuyabeno. We guarantee you’ll experience new species in their natural habitat while learning how they contribute to the greater ecosystem. All while having fun, of course.

During your time in the rainforest, you may:

  • Paddle through the flooded forests by canoe

  • Search for monkeys, sloths, and tropical birds high up in the trees

  • Swim in the lagoon at sunset

  • Take nighttime wildlife walks

  • Spot caimans and other nocturnal animals such as bats

Our guides are passionate about the Amazon and love sharing their knowledge of the region’s plants, wildlife, and culture.
